leaking ABS actuator.....

OK, I have a 90 se. I have noticed a loss in brake fluid. Upon further inspection I noticed there are two "plugs" with allen heads on the front as well as the rear of the abs actuator (brain on passenger side of engine comp). The plug to the driver side squirts fluid out when the pedal is depressed. Anyone ever had this problem before? Is there an o-ring in there or some sort of copper seal? Please reply if you actually know somehting about this...lol don't give me your douchey 2 cents.
Peace,
Jav

there are no user servicable parts on the actuator.
it needs to be replaced as an ASSembly.

Try the junkyard if you don't want to buy the entire assembly.

I think you've got some decent feedback. But look, your car is a safety risk right now as you present it. I hope you're not driving it given potential to develop a more significant leak and suck air back into the system further impairing your ability to stop. Park the car and pull the plug if you don't believe there are no serviceable parts. Go to Auto Zone, get a replacement seal of whatever type pops out, then replace. Otherwise, buy a whole new actuator in a junkyard, ebay, or from the forum. I have one myself if you like. Words of wisdom, the attitude should go when people are trying to be helpful. Otherwise, I predict you may go via Up to you. Good luck.

Thanks,

I just replaced the whole actuator assembly with a junkyard part. It was cheap and easy plus I didn't have to worry about screwing up my brakes by opening up the actuator to replace parts. It a simple bolt in job and break bleed. Good luck.

Flame the guy and then ask for a quote all in the same thread. How about apologizing, THEN asking?

You really want to see who I am on this board? Try to be a tad more observant.

But WHO am I isn't really the issue. But knowing Brian, he will probably be nice enough to quote you anyway.

lol big man on campus eh? your mommy must be really proud. See, this is what I meant about douche bags. Internet Auto mart has gotten my cash in the past, when he has a decent price, as far as some, I've found them as much as more than half price. So who you are in life revolves around a chat board...quite an accomplishment. I send thanks the the other dudes who really helped. Thanks fellas, you're what makes this site and others like it great.

Still can't really handle common courtesy I see

Even if you think Brian's parts prices are high, he does know his stuff. As it happens, I think he has owned about a half dozen 3rd gen Maximas, both VE and VG and has bought them broken and fixed them.

As for Jeff, he doesn't know ****, you should just ignore what he has to say.

Really FWIW, Jeff has worked on so many Maximas, it makes me tired even thinking about it. In fact, he did much of the work on my car and I trust him more than I trust myself working on it.

well..I can be a newb to maxi pads..its one of the five cars I own..the only non-chevy, lol and only pre-65. I just love the damn thing and don't want to get rid if it. I can build chevys with my eyes closed, race pro circuit PSCA and have rodded for years, so I really appreciate the help when it comes to these cars.
