how do you tell if your max is a california model. reason i ask is because the ecu is throwing code 32, and my hanes says EGR for california models only. also, did gxes come with sunroofs standard?

 

Code 32 is EGR, which ALL maximas have. California models have a EGR temperature sensor, which the error code for is 35.
If your maxima is a CA spec, it will have a sticker under the hood that says "This car meets california emission stardards" among some other information.

 

I don't think so...mine didn't

 

only the 89-91SEs came with a standard sunroof. every other year and model had them as an option.
