E36 light pictures?

Alright I got the us spec e36 headlights for 50$ not bad right? Exspecially because they put out better light than the stock headlights. tget are also in pretty good shape. I am now asking if anyone has pictures of them with HIDS. i know the eurospec with projecters is better with hids, but i got these ones at such a reasonable price. Worth it to get hids with it. or should i just use these. save for projecters and hids far down the road? So if anyone has pictures can you please post them here.

i can try and post them with HIDs possibly tomorrow if not later on in the week. i have the '04 Nissan Murano ballast and ignitor with 12000k violet blue bulbs in my E36 headligts. it looks nice to me but i still have to make adjustments in the headlights for the aimin'.

its pretty easy and straight forward. to do the E36 headlight conversion ur gonna need heat shrink tubin' for the wires that ur gonna reconnect, 2 9005 harness's (1 for each side), 2 9006 harness's (1 for each side), E36 headlights, stock 3rd gen headlight brackets, and a grinder and two stips of sheet metal to bolt the E36 headlights to the stock 3rd gen headlight bracket. there is a link but i don't have it so if ur lucky someone in here will be generous enough to give u that link. most likely it should be in the stickies already but if u can't find it let me know and i'll search for it.

just do it yourself 10 x easier than u could ever imagine. SHeet Metal SNips. a dremel. 4 2x6" strips of sheet metal for brackets and wiring harnesses are what u need. goto town its an easier mod than i thought it would be too.

well to be fair to the guy you got the car from the projectors (what you have) are larger and you cant use the maxima brackets on them without cutting the plastic on the light housings. That also explains why they dont match up well with the corners. You can get it to look really good if you do some minor adjustments to it.

Wait a minute...did you get this car from DMad8724?

I knew he hasnt posted in a while but wasnt aware he sold his car.

i know since this is the a thread on the e 36 headlights i thought i would ask this question. ok we all know that the e 36 headlights come with halo lights as well as the headlights and ive noticed that the wouldnt turn on when i turn my headlights on so i took my headlight out and dismantled it and found dat one of the wire connectors in the house that go to the halos are not connected and no where in the housing is there another wire dat connects to them so does anyone know how to fix that so that the halo's will work and light up?

if the wires you are talking about go to the halo LEDs (or however they light up) then you can connect them to whatever source you want. I think most connect them to the running lights so they come on when you turn your running lights on and stay on when you turn the actual headlights on.

Make sure that the wires have a resistor pack in them (should be a small black square piece) before you plug them to 12V because if not it will blow the LEDs. The resistor pack should be on there though...just make sure.
