Head light assembly wires melting

I wanted to know if anyone else was having the problem of the wire harnesses melting on them when they put the hyper white bulbs in there car? my stock harness melted down to nothing causing my lights not to work, and i tried APC harness and that melted to. any ideas or anything?

What kind of hyper whites are they? Seriously, if they're the cheap kind(i.e. J.C. Whitney, etc.) get rid of them! I had that same problem, but I luckily caught the problem early so little damage was done. I've got the PIAA's with no problems.

hrmm...would this happen..i haven't had it happen..and i dont know how it would...arr anything i should know when i put my knew lights in? ive had street glow hyperwhites in my max with no problem, but i may be upgrading to hiper industries.

I have 91 SE and ive had to replace both of mine i jsut went to discount auto and bout 2 $5 harnesses and havent had a prob since, good advice, darker blue the bulb the hotter it gets and the more likly to burn it out not to mention teh unreliability of the dark blue
