Hub Question

I just replaced my front driver side wheel bearing due to some worsening noise since I bought the car. When I was removing the old bearing I noticed that the spindle is able to slide in and out of the bearing freely, the FSM calls for it to be pressed in. I can also see that it's all chewed up and un-even. I'd like to get a whole new hub for parts but I'm not sure what the rules are for that.I have a 94SE. Is there anything special about the SE hub or are they all the same up front? And does it make any difference weather it's a VE or a VG? Thanks...

if you are just swapping the hub and keeping the spindle then you can use any VE hub (auto and 5spd are the same) but if you have ABS you have to use an ABS spindle (if you swap the whole spindle) because the non ABS spindle doesnt have the screw holes for the ABS sensor.

Yes is matters if its a VE or VG. VE and VG hubs are different.
