they both last long, the real question is maintenance. |
im happily at 120,000 miles
not high, but not low better than some cars that are 5+ years old |
OK, I will post a picture with it running. So you nonbelievers can see for yourself.

nice  ...if I hadn't crashed my 90 GXE(@210-220k miles), I'd probably still have it and be in the 300ks or at least high 200ks!
|
We already had a pic of an original VG at 400k+ and it was still running but the car was wrecked shortly thereafter.
The real question is the tranny. Did this guys tranny really last him 379k until a rebuild? That I find hard to believe, especially if it was an automatic, because the auto trannies in these cars are built by Tyco R/C company. |
Wow, congrats! I have a '93 SE that just passed 202K and I thought that was something. I prefer manual transmissions and although I've had the master & slave hydraulics/cylinders replaced a couple times, the original clutch lasted until 185K miles so I'm hoping she'll last a few more years.

I just passed 265k, my original clutch lasted until 216k~crazy~ still runs great, and is still fast. I just do regular maintenance + change oil EVERY 3000 miles, ive replaced the drain plug 6 times just from normal wear and tear |
Is the drain plug something that is supposed to be replaced every so often? Because I think my car is slowly leaking oil around that area.
By the way, MyGreenMax94, is that pic from your SE or GXE?... I'm guessing SE from the white gauges, but a lot of people swap out the GXE gauges for white ones as well. |

|
Heres a picture I took right after the 400000 change over going east towards Melbourne Beach Fl, its hard to see the dash becuase of the glare form the sun. anyway thanks to all.
