mmm hmm tell me about it. I dont have VE but if I get this job that I'm waiting to hear from I'm restoring, swapping tranny, puttin in healthier engine, and a nice big turbo. Nobody would expect a turbo on a GXE

I mean especially since the new car will depreciate in value tremendously the second it's driven off the lot.
Personally, I'd rather have a perfect like-new condition turbo VE with new paint, refurbished interior, built engine, etc (which I'm in the process of trying to accomplish) than a run of the mill new car that anyone can buy off the lot.
thank you James. it wont be a VE but hey VGs can take turbo nicely from what I've seen here. Correct me if I'm wrong but there are way more turbo VGs than VEs on the org..
so yea, I'd like to fully restore (a/my) 3rd gen which ever is more suitable. bodywork and mechanical which means I'm gonna be PMing Michael once I have nice dough
btw in no way did I mean to highjack the thread, please continue complimenting this nice turbo VE

People dont turbo VE's cause they like to drive these cars around for awhile before having some bullsh1t VTC blow up and kill your 3k+ investment

my bad man but you know things are made to break and be fixed so well all know what we have to antisapate from doing a turbo set up and knowingly know dat by chance the vtc's would go out its juz the lil flaw our ve blocks have

If you do it right, and run low boost (like 4PSI) you should be just fine. Plus people for get that too much power causes a lot of problems, unless you drag your car that is, then more power is always better.
Oh and watch out cause people take it personal with you say their VE has a timing belt

I'm just saying, that when you engine is ticking, it doesnt always inspire you to say, yeah I'll turbo the hell outta my car cause its rock solid.
There really isnt that much more room under the hood of a VG than a VE, I have both so I know. And yes there are more VG folk, but you would have to include the non-SE models to make the difference dramatic.
And everyone knows, if it's not a SE it's just

but whatever.
lol you made it look like if you had a VE you would turbo it but would be afraid of the timing belt. Anyway yes you've made it clear that you're referring to VG..so wait TurboGXEs VG isnt running anymore?
