Brake System my Maxima has?

Drum or Disc???

If Disc, which of the following do you recommend are ho much do they go for?

-Calipers (Also,What to use to paint them???)
-Pads
-Rotors

And would it be disc on all four wheels or disc on front, drum on back????????

Thank you!

Well.....

yours will have drums in the rear and discs w/calipers upfront. as for pads you can buy Axxis Metal Masters(~$50) and stock style rotors/discs are fine. you can find cliper paint at any import shop and evrywhere on-line.

Yup....

I know of one or two guys who have done that on their 3rd gens...its a VERY involved task and not for the "un"-mechanically inclined, do a search of the 3rd gen forum cause there is plenty info about it in the archives!

Beat, IIRC, you have a lot more repairs to do before you get rims, right?

Why bother? When you buy mine this Fall you'll have four wheel discs and painted calipers! LOL

True... but If I wanna sell this maxima at a greatly profitable price, then I want it to be nicely dressed and minimally noisy. I need to repair 2 fuel injectors and a power steering hose.

Speaking of which, Nissan Stock Injectors are $130. Usedmaximaparts.com has em for $85.00 rebuilt. Is there any way that I can score these for less cash? Are High performance injectors cheaper? Are there any better than stock?

I still wanna do the rear brake conversion.

MAXMIZD

I forgot to ask you this whole time if your 94 Max is Stick or Auto...

It might be an issue.

Also, I checked out my brakes. Definitely a mix of drum N disc....

I'll be getting a quote today about my paint job and rust removal. Also hope to clear up this whole fule injection and power steering problem(s) too...

If anyone else has any tips/suggestion, please post for me. Thank You!

Just get stock injectors.....

there is more work in getting "performance" ones and your car is stock so there is no need for them.

It's been right under your nose in my sig. It's an auto. RE-built last Feb, so it's almost completely new.

One last factor...

Cloth or Leather???

If its leather... we can go into the rest of the details.
If its cloth... theres still huge chances...

NOW, back to my PRESENT CAR:

I'm gonna hold of on everything except injectors and power steering hose.

WHY? Well, I took my car to the best custom body shop here in chicago and basically the dude told me this.

"It is not worth to work what you want to work on this maxima, it can always come back (rust). Its a $3,500 job to paint it all up, remove the rust and install the body kit...but Id rather you not risk all of the cash with this car."

So I think I'll just keep it in as good condition possible...so when I sell it, I can at least break even.

$3,000

ANY TAKERS YET??????

Interior is cloth. It's almost literally spotless. Usually only me in the car. I don't really care for leather. It doesn't stay nice over the years unless you really baby it. I'm not getting leather on the new one either. Seems to be hot and sticky in the summer adn cold and hard in the winter. We had an '87 Max GXE with leather and I hated it.

It's all good...

If I choose to, I can convert em to leather.

That'll probably be the only piece of work that I'll do....r0fl...

Ok dude, hey if you dont mind... Lets get into details...
