For those with lowering springs.

What kind of adjustments did you have to make after putting them on? Like tire sizes? Wheel sizes? I'm trying to find out all of the pros and cons of the lowering springs before I purchase a set.

I went with eibachs. 1.2 inch drop and no adjustments needed. Best ride from what I hear, too.

with those springs how high is the lowest part of your car? In my state the lowest part of our car has to be at least 100mm high off the ground.

that's like saying you're in the US why don't you have a Z06

100mm is nothing...eibachs won't drop it that low...you should be good.

I put Sprint 2" drop and new struts w/ 225/45/17 and had to put Camber kit's on front and rear to get things back on track, I also replaced a Hub and to Wheel Bearings on that mission. Looks and rides good

I have eibachs and with 215-50-17 tires and I barely touch the strut towers in the back. The front are ok as long as you don't turn excessively. The original tires that I had on the 2k2 rims were 225-50-17 and they rubbed the towers in the back, didn't realize it till I changed tires.

Again depends on what setup you go with. Without precise measurement (just eye ruler), the Stillen kit is about a 1" drop for the car in front and sides and lowest point in back. The Stillen kit is taller in the rear, but just to bring the back bumper down in line with the rest of the kit's bottom edges. Therefore, the Sprint 2" drop is lower than just the Stillen Kit. The Eibach drop is about equal to the kit alone. However, you would have to consider the look your going for. Do you want the kit and have those huge wheel wells still there? The Eibach drop nicely fills those in while the Stillen kit adds the style and cleans up the bottom lines of the car.

Skylines are way too common here and R33's and R34 turbos are too powerful for under 21 year olds. We have to be under the 125kw per tonne limit while on our Provisional License. But im saving for a 180sx atm anyway getting pretty sick of fwd and auto lol

I wish both of my Maximas used the stock springs

I have two cars with Suspension Technique springs and they do handle well, and dont drag the ground too much but the struts make a difference as well. Tokico's are great, perfect trade off of handling and day to day 'third world' road driving. KYB GR2 on the other hand, make my other maxima a fragile beast.

HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH

i want to redo it anyways. get clips of dumb stuff like the "vtec just kicked in yo" pics all over the interweb.

BTW I am 1/2 tempted to take the springs and struts off my black max and stick em on the gold max. People panic when you ride up next to them and hit the same bump as them, only you nose-dive-pitch-nose-dive again-pitch-settle all the while they just Cadillac the little dip without any drama.

There are a few others as well with different ride heights. Go for Eibach if your looking for just a standard comfortable drop.

I have B&G with GR2's on my VE5 and Eibach Pros w GR2's on my VG.

- handling >B&G
- looks > Eibach
- nightmare over road imperfections (especially speedbumps) > B&G

I have to say I love the handling of the B&G compared to the Eibachs, but even gingerly going over a speedbump at 1mph I have scraped with them.
If you're putting a body kit on, the Eibachs are the best trade-off in my opinion.
I'm on 225/45/17's on both cars. The tires rub at full crank of the wheel on the B&G's. No issues with the Eibachs.

With 225's you had not rubbing issues in the back at all. When I had those I didn't realized they rubbed till I got 215's to replace them. From looking at 215's they barely clear my back strut towers.

No I've never had rubbing issues with the 225's (with the Eibachs). The Eibachs are on my VG, which doesn't have a full size spare or any other 'junk in the trunk'. Maybe less weight helps a bit in that regard, but I'd think the lower profile tire is what makes the most significant difference here.

better tires, almost universally, give you the best handling increase per dollar, more so if you get rain tires like the Eagle F1's.

tires are the most important linkin your braking and suspension, if you have lousy tires you won't handle or brake as well as a set of good tires can.
all the suspension tuning in the world and all the BBKs in the world won't help worth a dam if you're running baldies or even a full depth cheap tire.

I put tires up there with one of the most under-utilized safety devices in cars, which also include ABS (why is this still not standard on every car?), and seat-belts.

Because ABS doesn't save lives in an accident, it prevents the accident! which means that there is no money to be made there. why do you think AWD isn't standard?

I think back in 92', Nissan saved an airbag for the passenger side and gave us the sliding seat belts.

They had the technology back in 89 too. They flipped us the finger and then kicked our *** with the sliding seat belts too*.

* BTW I really like the sliding seat belts, pisses a lot of passengers off

Heh, some love it, some hate it. They are actually more comfortable then your average seatbelt since they don't feel so tight around you. Only downside to them IMO, is that they don't look all that great when taking pics of the car.

the government gave us automatic seatbelts, it was a stop gap tactic to allow the OE time to change to airbags

What I have:Eibach paired with Koni on Nitto's extreme performance 225/45/17.

How it rides: Sticks to the road like glue. Bumps are felt but it's tolerable for me.

Problems: Steering issue which I'm trying to resolve (dont know if it's related to the tire size/suspension). Initial problem to have it aligned but finally had it done at Sears auto center for 70.00 with a 6mnth warranty. Alignment is whithin spec. now, however, the values prior to the alignment were wayyyyyyy off due to the modified suspension (Was told this by the Technie)Also, I took an Eibach Camber kit but it wasnt nec. for the alignment.

How it looks: Sexy.Aggresive.Sweet. NO fender rubbing etc.

Recommendation: Get it if its whithin your pocket, looks great, doesnt ride that bad (luxury wise) and man the car seems to be on rails!
