Black or Beige

I want to replace the leather in the car, but I'm torn: keep the old beige colour (which I think is classy), or go with black. It's a tough choice, here's a quick photochop. The one on the right is the original beige, the left is what it might look like black. What do people think?

I've always been a big fan of black leather seats, but since your exterior color is beige I reckon black seats would look a bit odd. I'd stick to the beige - nice photoshoping though!

Wow, yeah... nice job with the photoshop, I just assumed they were two different installs taken at the EXACT same camera angle

But I'd stay stick with the tan because of your exterior. I love tan leather though...

I think it'd be really cool to meet ends halfway. I'd do a two-tone interior, so keep some tan and add the black to the middle of the driver/passenger seats and same with the rear. try photoshopping that.

Hmm... The cars general color is "light" Such as the exterior and majority of inside. IMO TRIM pieces (in a two toned colored car) should be contrasting the general color of the car. So All large covered area's should match, but door panels/ dash/ etc. should be darker or a different color than the norm. Kind of sets it off, and seperates it.

But that's just my .02

I think the black looks a little better, however, I have black leather in my Maxima and tan leather in the QX4 and I prefer the tan leather when it's warm/sunny out. It gets hotter in my Maxima than any other car I have ever owned.

Somebody spent some quality time with the selection tool. Good job.

Oh, and I'd stay with the beige. The car looks outstanding btw. I have a pebble beige 94 and I'm green w/envy. Mine is really starting to show its age.

I know! In Florida Summers, you can LITERALLY not breathe in it if it's mid day and been sitting. And nothing seems to help cool it down other than garaging. Thinking about doing the tan 4th gen leather swap here soon.

Since all of your door except for the insert is black I would say go with the black, I like the contrast between the two colors.

Now you need to finish the job. The worst part of the tan/brown interior is the brown dash and door panels. I like black and tan but not that brown color.

true if you like it then thats all that matters. I just think there are too many colors going on in there. Tan, brown, black. Just too much IMO. If the seats were brown to match the dash and door panels (or door panels and dash black like I mentioned earlier) it would be better IMO but MO doesnt count .

beige with black piping should be pretty hot or you should see about doing a suede insert

Wow, I like the black. If your doors were beige, I'd stick with the beige but your inserts are beige on black doors.... I think it looks good in black. It's all personal preference though.

Personally, I wish I had leather. The cloth seats look kinda goofy with their striped pattern. I say be happy with what you have and maybe get tan door panels to go with the tan interior.

I'd say just get a tan/black combo. Like tan seats with black inserts.

awesome job in photoshop i wish i could do that and by the way stick to the beige in your case its better since most of your interior is related that way. black leather + beige door panels and the brown dash does not look too great. unless! you went ahead and replaced everything.

wait a minute what color is your dash? i see your door panels are black meaning your dash is black? in that case black is so much better and does not get as dirty as beige and sure as hell does not crack as easy.

I kinda like the contrast of the black seats with the beige trim elsewhere. Black is just sportier IMO, but admittedly not as "classy"

stay with the beige, unless you find all black interior (dash, seat belts, etc) to swap out.

Wait? Dash is brown/tan and Inserts are black? Hmm... thought brown+black was a no no. Or was that just with clothes

All black interiors (ALL) are pretty sexy. But you have a champagne car. Pretty much any other color and black interiors look nice. But I just can't feel the all black inside on a classy gold car. Just doesn't fly. My dad's truck is white with champagne metalflake and a champagne body kit and vynils.

coincidentally the interior is tan:

I just think an all black interior would look.... odd....

Thanks for the feedback everyone, really appreciate the opinions. The dash and door panels are black, and everything else is beige... carpets, seats, rear deck, pillars and headliner. I think I'm going to stick with either beige, or two tone seats (black with beige inserts). The more I look at the photoshop and MyGreenMax94's black seat swap pics (thanks btw), the more I think that black makes the cab too dark. I'm really still leaning to the beige, but I haven't quite decided yet, so please, in the meantime, keep those opinions coming.

I do have black leather seats I pulled out, Ive just been too lazy to take pics and list them forsale. But they are I just need to list them when I get home from FL.
