3rd Gen Wiper Arm Replacement

Has any one had any problems with one wiper not working? Specificly the drivers side? My wiper arm, the one that holds the wiper blade is fine. I'm talking about the actuator arm between the wiper motor and the wiper arm.

My drivers side has fallen off. I thought I could remove the plastic shield between the windshield and firewall, (one philips #2 screw and four plastic pins), and mearly pull it upwards and it would pop on. It did not! The described technique had worked on a previously owned Caravan, ya a sin I know.

Any input would be great!

here is the spicific part link & illustration: http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...=5&catalogid=2

The dealer link is: www.klinenissan.com

Ironicly I found that by ordering online i saved my self a bunch of $$. after i located the part I needed I called them direct and found if I phone ordered it would cost me $15 something. I asked the list price and was told it was $17 and change!!?! the online price was $9.11 + tax, which I elected to do. They could not give me an explanation of the huge price discrepancy.

the wiper "link" was easy to replace by the way. since one side was off, I mearly pushed off the other, and the new one pulled on and squeezed on securely with a Channel-Lock.
