Speakers acting weird...

This problem just started acting yesterday, my speakers started acting weird with all this fuzzy, static noise sometimes loud, sometimes quiet, it wont come on all the time and it would happen randomly at first, but now it happens more frequent. My radio wont even work. I tried turning on and off my head unit and it wouldnt solve anything. The sound seems like its coming from the rear. The only thing that seems to make the speakers work again, is if I turn my ignition off, then turn the key twice (turning my key once also doesnt work) to use the battery, and my speakers will work fine, but then I turn my to ignition and the speakers would go to crap again, also if I flip my key twice the speakers will work, and flipping it once back will make it work, but going to ignition will not make it work. I dont know it seems weird and confusing I know. Has anyone had this problem before? Or know how to fix it? My guess is a short somewhere??

If you say that there is no sound at all, when the radio is on, it could be a short. My other guess would be your amps are going. You can re-solder them pretty easy.

Like when my CD music isnt playing, my radio isnt playing. It's not like one or the other works, its if both are working or both or not working when the static/fuzzy noises occurs.

Bose sticky

You know, I didn't find anything in the stickys about the bose sound system. It would be nice if someone wrote up their experiences repairing this system, such as amp repair, wiring diagram, capacitor repair, front panel light and speaker repair. It seems like this system is reaching the age that it needs some life support.
