3rd gen headers,coilover and more!

I thought that they didn't make coilovers for our generation of maximas? It's fully adjustable...it's around the same price as coilovers in general isn't it ?

I just noticed a few other things suchs as headers as well i really think that you guys should check it out!

i'm not so sure that it's a mis print...i have seen them on various sites! I find it hard to believe that so much of them would have the same thing ...wrong? Has anyone tried these set before? And how are you so sure that they can't fit?

Dude, if Jeff, Matt, Danny or MrGone say something doesn't fit, 99 percent of the time they are going to be correct.

Like Jeff said, go ahead and buy them and prove everyone wrong.

Lol...IF i had a grand to spend on coilovers i wouldn't have a maxima(definitely would have a skyline gtr) but i just was letting some of the guys here know that i found some that was suppose to fit, seeing that this is the first time that I have actually found coilovers that they see are suppose to fit.

Wonderful. I'm sure when a bunch of 3-genners order these and try to install, they will know who to thank

Most of the people that have been here for a few years have seen this same link[or similar ones like this] posted before..More than once...Hence the flamefest...

There is not a aftermarket coilover for the 3rd gen..

General rule of thumb 90% of 3rd gen owners don't spend over 50$ shipped for any kinda mod.

LOL if you want something to mod on a budget get a s13. I love mine and its cheap to mod, and the cheap coilovers are $900-2000. A skyline GTR's would be $4K+, oh and good luck finding one for less then $80-100K

I found a few gtr's (90-94) for about 14K actually but what i was really saying in the previous post was that if i could afford to spend a grand on coilovers than i would have enough money to get a gtr. Hope you understand what i meant.

you haven't done any searching here then, have you. we've gone over this identical post about 10,000 times now.

people think that because an A32 is a 4th gen Maxima that an A31 is a 3 gen. it's a fawking Cefiro or something, NOT a 3 gen Maxima. they don't fit. for the 17,000th time. If they did, I'd have a set instead of the cobbled together ****hole suspension I have on it now.

Relax? You mean don't worry because it's not YOU that's shelling out the $$ to find out if it works or not? Or don't worry about the people that take your ill-thought out advice and waste a thousand or two buying it and finding out it doesn't work?

According to what i saw it was suppose to fit both. I didn't order them i just thought that I had found some that someone might be interested that all.

It wasn't that it wasn't well thought out. When i checked out the D2 racing website lastnight i checked the catalog and it said that they carried the coilovers for that year. What else did you want me to do? Look for ya freaking self since you want me to look like an idiot.
http://www.d2racing.com/html/coiloapps.html

It was the first time that i saw that...how was suppose to know that they don't fit even though the MANUFACTURER said that it was suppose to?

I understand that you said that they don't fit...i'm jus

Again. Not well thought out. A) No one has them. That should have led to B) wondering why no one has them despite them being advertised. That should have led to C) Taking the advice of people TELLING you they won't fit.

Talk is cheap, lets get it done and take pics. O wait, I just read your post again. "if I had money to spend"

If you really can't do it, just dream about it and DON'T TOUCH YOUR KEYBOARD!

Go do it and come back when you're done.
been there, done that. the geometry for these cars sucks and making coilovers to fit under the car AND ride good is next to impossible.

No you don't and no you can't.

What kind of a "shop" you work for anyway?

Bleeding the master cylinder is somewhat the same as the brakes. Just have someone push the brake pedal to the floor then open up the lines a little bit by each. Then close all. Continue until u get a even flow from all. If one is bleeding more than others close off that line and do the rest.

Good Luck!

Came up with an idea for getting coil overs to fit.
I just don't have patience to do the rest of the measuring

I gave the site a looksy. I would be very cautious of buying those. They have other parts listed for the 3rd gen that are 4th gen parts, and some parts that are from who knows what. Check the throttle body spacers for example.

This isn't gonna turn out to be one of those "new-guy-posts-something-while-OG-org-members-flame-educate-said-newbie", is it?? I mean, while I fully understand AND support the idea of educating the "new crop" of 3rd gen owners, every once in a while, these types of threads seem to gravitate to what can only be summarized as "bible beating".

In contrast, it's good that bonez_tmac posted what he/she thought was a legitimate "mod" - allowing the more "seasoned" Max owners to educate him/her on what their past experiences have taught them on that subject. Slightly edgy IMHO, but "education" nonetheless.

keep in mind that the 3rd gen body is heavier than the 4th gen body so even if u do buy them and make them fit the ride comfort is gonna be horrible. i wouldn't buy them cuz they don't fit and im too lazy to lift my car and adjust the ride height. everyone has spoken so i will also say they will not fit.

Actually I believe most of the extra weight is in the engine. Iron block vs Alu block.
