VE Brake Rotor/Pad selection

Hey guys, I need a lil help on a decision.

One guy is quoting me the following.

**$180 a pair for Drilled and slotted Centric Stop Tech rotors.
$160 for the rear pair.

**Also looking at the SP Performance diamond-slotted
$165 a pair for front.
$90 for rear pair.
Same prices for gold or nickel color, Diamond dimpled & slotted, as well as cross-drilled and slotted. So some options there.

For the same SP Performance brand, either slotted only or drilled only.
$147 a pair fronts.
Drilled and slotted rears $90 a pair.

Should I go with Centric drilled & slotted? or SP Performance?

If SP, drilled & slotted, or diamond dimpled?

Im leaning towards the Centric, but the SP doesnt look too bad either, and for a little less.

======================================

PADS! I hear everyone using Hawk pads. But Axxis were suggested to me.

**Axxis Ultimate Ceramic/Kevlar, $92 fronts.
**Axxis XBG $70 fronts, $45 rears.
Posi-Quiet (centric?) Ceramic, $37 fronts.
Posi-Quiet Extended Wear, $37 fronts.
**Hawk Performance, Ferro-Carbon, $70 fronts, $59 rears.
SP Performance Street Plus no dust, $41 fronts, $39 rears.
EBC Red Stuff, $65 fronts only.

** = Leaning towards.

OH! Anyone selling good Steel lines? I'll paypal you fast.

I would recommend Brembo Blank Rotors..As far as pads, Ived used Bendix ceramics and semi-metallics, and PBR semi-metallics..all were great..ive never used any of the ones you stated..and imho, cross drilled/slotted rotors are a waste of money..just my 2 cents.

brembo blank rotors and axxis metalmaster or Hawk HPS pads. you'll be VERY happy with those.

I just upgraded my rear with larger rotors and Jeff's brackets.

So I have a pair of Rotor Works Drilled and Slotted rotors with about 1000 miles on them for sale. I would let them go for $75 shipped.

Shoot me pm for pics.

Why the brembo blanks? I heard drilled arent worth your money, but slotted are. I always yield to what the other owners say..

I had axxis/PBR XBG/Metal master front pads on my max with el cheapo rotors and it stopped beautifully especially when you consider that I also had the rear BBK with an el cheapo rotor and the same pads

For street cars, you will see ZERO improvement in performance when using slotted, drilled, or dimpled rotors. none. zero. zilch. nada.
and considering the price of Brembo blanks, you can't go wrong.

El cheapos warped on me twice. And that was on my GXE before someone totaled it for me. So now on my VE, I put alot of heat on them, and consistantly. I, in my brake system ignorance, wanted better cooling and am willing to pay a little more for it. I guess I'll go with the cheapos, even though the brembo blanks are probably way better than the crap I was putting on before. I'll do the big upgrade after my engine/tranny swap.

You stock these blanks Brian? Any Hawk pads? Pm me.
