Thoughts on Tokico HP Spring and Strut kit.

well, my suspension is done for. completely blown, at least the drivers side front is. seeing as i'm going to have to change atleast that spring and strut i'm obviously going to change them all around, i was wondering what everyone's thoughts were about the tokico hp spring and strut kit. I would go for the kyb struts with the eibach springs but that set up is a little too expensive for me, so i'm thinking about the tokico, and just wanted some feedback.

I have a set of Tokico's on my 90 SE, and I'd have to say that they have been a disappointment. It's been about a year and a half since I installed a set of the Tokico HP's (blue) on the Eibach Pro Kit springs. About 6 months ago I replaced the rear Eibach's with the factory springs - I didn't like how low the rear sat when the trunk was loaded. At that time I noticed the driver's side strut was blown already, and now the front is starting to dive on hard turns/curves (like on a tight on-ramp). For now I'm just going to have to ride it out for a little while, but my next set won't be Tokico's....

Anyone else NOT recommend Tokicos? I'm in a similar position and already have the Eibach Pro-kit springs to install. Are Konis the only strut that will hold up long term with the Eibachs? What about KY-Bs? Thanks.

KYBs are fine with Eibach I believe. I rode with Craig Brace in his car and I thought it rode great. He said at that time the KYBs have been on his car for around 2 years and have held up fine. That was a couple of years ago so he has had them for about 4 years now but I havent talked to him about how well they are holding up. You may Email or PM him...he will probably respond.
