Okay here's the deal my brother and I installed my front tokico's and eibach's. Everything went smooth untill it came time to install the rear struts(well actually strut cartridges). After taking the driver-side rear strut we realized the tokico cartridges would not fit into the OEM strut assembly. I looked up the part numbers to confirm I had the right parts and they were. What do I need to do to install the rear tokico's? Everyone is always helpful with this stuff so I thought I'd ask the pros.

I did do a search and found numerous answers but not the one I wanted.

When I did my rear struts I took them out and took them to midas and they changed them, because I did not have a spring compressor. they did them for 10 dollars a side.

Hey when you did the fronts were they differebt from the rears?

What do you mean by not fitting? Does it slide in at all, or is it a really loose fit? I did KYB's, and I thought the fit was way to loose. But after you slide them in, fill the surrounding area with an oil bath, and put the seal and cap back on, all looked great, and works great. I'm not sure if the KYB's and Tokicos are the same fit, but I would think so. I hope this helps.

Thanks for all the input, I really appreciate it. I was on the right track on the rear strut install but got worried when the chiltons said to open the the strut assembly and start tearing it apart, i.e. removing the rubber o-ring and draining the fluid...well you get it. Any way thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
