Spoiler on GXE

Who has added a rear deck Spoiler on their GXE? If so where did you get one? How much did you spend on it? Was it easy to instal? Does it cause any rust on trunk over time?

That's ironic, I was thinking of taking my spoiler OFF. I think it makes the car look dated and they're nonfunctional anyways. I suppose the cheapest thing to do is to go check the local boneyards. Each end is held down by two cheap fasteners, but the middle part with the 3rd brake light you have to pull away the insulation panel from the inside trunk lid to get to. Then its just a matter of running the wire from the rear deck.

I would recommend against putting a factory spoiler on. The foam stuff starts pulling up at the ends and looks like azz. Maybe if you find a perfect trunk in a boneyard, you might try it.

I think in stock trim, the spoiler looks better, but if you have a stillen kit, without the spoiler looks better. That's just my own opinion, though.

There are a couple of different aftermarket ones out there, although they are a bit spendy. I have one that I have for sale, but it needs work. I think it's a Stillen Type 2, but I am not sure how to confirm that. I got it off a wrecked car and it has some scratches and there are a few LEDs burned out or disconnected and I am too chicken to heat it up in the oven to open it and try to fix it. PM me if you are interested. It's cheap...
