Hi everyone, happy new year!
I'm looking to upgrade the headlights to these e36s:

I have done my research, and am not worried about cutting the current housing. However, can anyone who's done it provide feedback on the contour of the e36s vs the stock headlights at the bumper? Specifically, how close to stock does the e36 curve follow the bumber/hood? It's hard to tell from all the pics, and I really want it to fit as flush as possible (I'm a bit of a perfectionist). I really don't want to mess with things like wade covers if I don't have to...

Don't listen to him, Chrome is where its at. Make sure you have matching clear cornors. I have those same headlights in mine now. with 6000k hids. they are amazing. heres some pics.

If you get hid's i recommend doing the mod' that keeps your low beams on when you turn on your highs. that way less on/off of the hid, and longer life of the bulb. its a simple piece of plastic u shave down on the inside of your headlight leaver. I also put Blue Bulbs in the high beams so when they are both on. they both are a bright white. Hope this helped!
stock they dont match up very well. If you are a perfectionist you will not like the look of the stock E36s. Just buy either the clear factory lights and use the lens off of it or do the Wade/GTS clear headlight cover like I did and many others. James92SE actually sealed his and it looks great.

i agree if you are a perfectionist you wont like how it comes out they do not flush very well as the E36 headlights are not curved they are more aless flat all the way across. i personally like my E36 headlights even if they do not sit flush. better looking then the factory maxima headlights
