just take the damn car to a mechanic and have them fix it. it's normal stuff. any shop can do them. get the bearings from courtesy, especially since they're just down the street from you. wow wasn't that difficult?

Hey man chill out... we're here to help but its not a good thing when you start calling the moderator names. Its between a $100 - $175 job for a shop to do, and unless you have access to a arbor press, you can't do it yourself. Its one bearing, and its pressed into place. The last time I had a shop do it and I an going to be doing another one here shortly and I may do it myself, cuz I have all the parts here. If you have any more questions, ask *nicely* (typing in bolds is considered shouting and rude) and I am sure that one of us will be able to help you.

hey....

Here is a related question....

How do I know my wheel bearings need to be replaced?

I just spent a bundle on my suspension/steering and it didn't change, still very loose and irresponsive though the noises are gone.

Re: hey....

it starts off w/ a humming sound when you're rolling...eventually you'll hear it click once in a while...and get worst and worst from there on.

and a side note...(not u steve)..
people who are asking for help (the newer guys)...a note of thanks and appreciate for some advice wouldn't kill you...not coming back and lashing out and cursing back at people. remember..YOU'RE the one that needs some help and info..not us.

will this ever end? i posted that a week ago almost. however, I would rather do something wrong and learn then ask a jerk off here who is going to reply in the most smart *** way possible. think it. I was never an *** until someone was with ,me.. if you would ALL back off, and just loose the attitude..this would die - but now..everyone here has to think whos better and whos not bassed on how long theyve been coming to this web site.. i mean do better! go for a WALK!

Re: Re: Re: hey....

it's not how long you're on the BBS...it's called respect. if a total stranger walked up to u and started to talk all this trash wouldn't u get really ****ed off?

i'm not even taking sides on this one. matt just gave u some info that courtesy is a pretty good dealership and you should check them out. they also have ok prices on parts compared to some of the other local dealers in NY.

maybe u took it the wrong way. maybe matt was having a bad day..who knows. all i ask is for you to take the info w/ a grain of salt. if it did offend you then ask matt why was that needed...instead of typing in all the curses and etc that ends up looking like **** anyway.

also typing in all caps is equal to yelling...so maybe you just got off the wrong foot. let's start off w/ a clean slate again and start over.
