Bolt holding the rotor

Anyone know what the size is - mine broke off and I want to buy one from a hardware store before I drillout the old one. This is the small bolt that holds the rotor to the distributor.

Also earlier my rotor is really stuck on the distributor and wont come off, even with a lot of pulling . Does anyone recommend cutting it off with a dremmel or is there any other way (slide hammer maybe)

Wow - stumped the forum. Anyone know where I can get the info - the size of the bolt and how to get a stuck rotor off the distributor.

How about I just buy the bolt - $1 shipping included. But more seriously, can you take a look at the bolt and tell me the thread size and length.

And your distributor - I see the price went up to $50 lately from your earlier post (a few months ago) of $35

Oh wow, that sucks. Honestly, if you can get to a local auto wreckers (should be many 3rd gens on their dead now), just swiping one from there would be your best bet (I do not know the size). It sucks because it's so delicate being on the distributor. Have you tried gently hammering the rotor a bit all around to see if it loosens?

I am first going to go to harbor freight and buy a generic dremel with a cutaway blade . then I will play a little more aggressively with that rotor - worst case will cut the dam bronze sleeve offs

Be careful, I tried twisting it with vise grips to lossen and damaged the thin timing plate under the cover. Had to replace distributor. Time to replace rotor again and it is once again frozen on, just not changing rotor. Good luck.
