Your maximas name
I was just wondering how many of you have a name for your Maxima.
Mines name is Daytona. Because I picked her up in Dayton, Ohio. She wasn't moving under her own power but I swapped in a 5 speed and now shes actually fast.
So whats your story?

Mines the AIP [pronounced Ape like the animal] because the first thing my mom said when she saw it was 'Ain't it Purty' [sarcastically of course] because the window tint is faded to purple and peeling. I'm still recovering it from it's previous owner, although it was fairly well taken after some things were ignored a little to much.

I guess I'd have to name mine 'goddam POS starter' because usually the only time I say anything to him it is when the starter solenoid is acting up. (I'm on my 3rd OEM starter since I bought the car 75k miles ago.)
it's also male, because I would never treat a woman the way I beat on this car...

I ususally refer to her as "This car" like, "God I love this car" or... "The Max" like, "I installed a cold air intake on the max"
But her real names Maxshee.... I'm weird but what can I say?

As for me, when I had my first Max, I called it "Black Male" - sorta a play on words that I had to explain time after time (BlackMale = Blackmail). Heck, even the license plates said that. And I guess it didn't help much in the explanations department that I'm African American.
Now, with the Max I've got, I've "unofficially" named it "Chi-Town's Finest". Which, I'll ASSume, will go over real well in the PNW.

#1. Engine was **** to begin with. My fault for not knowing WTF a varnished up motor looked like
#2. Probably was from the turbo system that was installed w/ no fuel upgrades. Although it did pop when it was na. It could have been weakened by the turbo and then finally popped when I ran the JWT during the summer. It pinged a bit.
