Your maximas name

I was just wondering how many of you have a name for your Maxima.

Mines name is Daytona. Because I picked her up in Dayton, Ohio. She wasn't moving under her own power but I swapped in a 5 speed and now shes actually fast.

So whats your story?

Mine was called She-nae-nae. Brother named it that when it was his and I just kept it. Went along with its personality. She would cooperate sometimes and sometimes just be annoying but she was a good car.

Mines the AIP [pronounced Ape like the animal] because the first thing my mom said when she saw it was 'Ain't it Purty' [sarcastically of course] because the window tint is faded to purple and peeling. I'm still recovering it from it's previous owner, although it was fairly well taken after some things were ignored a little to much.

I guess I'd have to name mine 'goddam POS starter' because usually the only time I say anything to him it is when the starter solenoid is acting up. (I'm on my 3rd OEM starter since I bought the car 75k miles ago.)

it's also male, because I would never treat a woman the way I beat on this car...

Haha, that's great. I've had mine called Shi-nay-nayyyy a few times too. I don't... know why?

I ususally refer to her as "This car" like, "God I love this car" or... "The Max" like, "I installed a cold air intake on the max"

But her real names Maxshee.... I'm weird but what can I say?

No name. Only women name their cars. A guy ought not to name his car. Just refer to her as "her" and be done with it.

For some reason, when I saw that, I thought of "The Good Earth". Don't ask why...

As for me, when I had my first Max, I called it "Black Male" - sorta a play on words that I had to explain time after time (BlackMale = Blackmail). Heck, even the license plates said that. And I guess it didn't help much in the explanations department that I'm African American.

Now, with the Max I've got, I've "unofficially" named it "Chi-Town's Finest". Which, I'll ASSume, will go over real well in the PNW.

When I'm frustrated with the car, I just call it "Money Pitt." When it clacks, I call it "Sir Clacks Alot." When it's running good, I call it "Baby."

I could never justify the plates describing anything more than the car itself. When I chose The Max as my license plate, it was purely to describe the vehicle and not the driver. At least you didn't choose plates that had "sexy" or "envy" in them. Probably the worst one I've seen yet on a car here in Sydney is "RUWET". Man there are some sad fools out there.

I would get in trouble at times because I forgot real Maxipads are a feminine product... I've had a handful of strange looks from girls and didn't realize why

#1. Engine was **** to begin with. My fault for not knowing WTF a varnished up motor looked like
#2. Probably was from the turbo system that was installed w/ no fuel upgrades. Although it did pop when it was na. It could have been weakened by the turbo and then finally popped when I ran the JWT during the summer. It pinged a bit.
