Whats your GXE auto mileage?

What do you guys get for mileage on a tank? I figure I get about 17 mpg with pure city driving on my 1993 GXE auto. I know that seems a bit low and the idle has been a little rough lately, but that comes and goes. Im thinking that maybe its leaky injectors, 4 are original, but would that affect the mileage that much? What else could it be? The car has 62k original miles and runs pretty darn good otherwise, thanks!

FYI Its got new plugs, wires, rotor, cap, no exhaust leaks and minimal carbon buildup. No engine codes since I last checked.

25mpg

I just did a tuneup on my 94 GXE. New plugs, fuel filter, air filter, cap and rotor, EGR valve. Now I get about 25 mpg mostly highway driving.

I am not sure yet but I heard that they are not economy cars at all, some reports at 26-27MPG on the highway. It seems that mine does slightly better than that but not sure. Why are these engines so bad on gas? I would have thought it to have great mileage.

I usually get about 300 miles a tankful in mixed City/Highway driving conditions, however with this winter mix of gas/Ethanol I have been getting around 260-270 Miles per tankful......

26-27 mpg is bad???

these cars were NEVER intended to be economy cars, they were nissan's flagship model. MPG was a very distant consideration. If you wanted MPG get a sentra. You want a nice car, get the Max.

of course my max's best mileage (of the 4 of them) was 20mpg on a tank. Last tank was 10.something. whatever it's a moot point to me now.

I don't count city mileage in most cars. Its just almost never good unless they are under 2700lbs and have small or efficient engines. 17mpg city isn't too bad. I get like 25 or so combined but that was in Ohio, did a lot of stop and go and highway it was about 50/50. Here in Chicago...yea I don't pay attention unless its highway miles.

Most gotten out of a tankfull on the 93 GXE was 27 highway and the least I've gotten was 10 city and that cuz of a fuel leak. my average city is 17mpg and mixed c/h is 21mpg

I get 24-25 MPG. I drive it to work everyday.

The lowest I got was like 21 MPG.

I got 33 MPG once. I filled up at the gas station in the morning, went all freeway minus rest stops till the tank was empty.

My wife's 2000 Camry with the 4-cylinder engine is only slightly better at 26-27 MPG on a regular basis.

I usually get 22mpg in town or mixed, and I've gotten over 30mpg on pure highway driving. The most I ever went on one tank was 540 miles, With normal driving I get around 400 miles before it hits empty

I got low 16's until I fixed my odometer so it actually counted miles correctly (the worm gear motor was partially seized). Now I get mid 18's, but I only drive about 2-3 miles per trip to and from work, so my engine isn't warm until the last mile or so, which basically wastes all my gas warming the engine up. My most recent was 16.6ish gallons after 301 miles.
