FrtRt power lock hanging, not locking, sometimes

Half the time, my front passenger door won't lock right when I use my keypad from the driver door. Sometimes it will still refuse to lock when I pull it up, shut the door, and push the lock button on the passenger keypad. I've had about 3 occasions where I had to unlock and relock the door from the passenger side, where the keypad almost always fixes it if the driver side keypad didn't, 10 times before it finally locked the door.

The lock always sits a little tall in the locked position, feels like weird when pushed down on and doesn't lock the door when pushed down on, unlike the other 3. The driver door lock locks all the doors when pushed down on (perhaps with the exception of that one dumb door), like it's supposed to. The inside power lock control in front of the power window control usually locks it fine.

What do I need to look at to adjust the seating of the lock pin and stuff so I don't have to circle my car and check the handle every time I park it?

Sadly, my 1985-1992 Hayne's manual was done on a teardown of a 1986 2nd gen car, and has pictures of that, and I tried my luck and bought a 1993-2004 Hayne's manual but that was done on a 1995 4th gen car, meaning I've got no reliable diagrams and pictures of the door components with the panel removed, or a good diagram of how to remove the panel and watershield without messing something up.

You have a lock/unlock on the passenger "keypad"(switch)? Thats what it says in the first paragraph.

Anyway, sounds to me like theres something going on in there. Open the panel up and see whats up. Panel removal on these is a breeze.

http://www.geocities.com/craigbrace/ Check the regulator removal/installation in the "how to" section for panel removal.

Thats okay. Remote entry on these cars is a pretty common thing.
