Addco RSB?

I want to order some aftermarket swaybars soon. Now I know you get some nice poly mounting hardware with Suspension Techniques swaybars. But the Addco is thicker, so I'd prefer one of those for the rear. What kind of mounting hardware do you get with the Addco?

Anyone who has an Addco RSB please chime in...Is the hardware poly like the ST bars, or is the hardware regular rubber bushings? Also, on ebay, it looked like the Addco comes with new end links...Anyone used these? Or are they junk so I should go ahead and order a set from Matt?

The Addco bar comes with urethane mounts and new end links with 'thane bushings as well. Matt's sway bar brackets are also a must if you plan on going to a heavier RSB. With the stiffer RSB you will quickly tear one of the links out.

My advice buy both, the Addco bar and Matt's links. You will be happier.

You will if you install a heavier sway bar and don't install stronger links.

I think it took about a month for mine to break. Then I ordered the blehmco links. No more problem.

I was searching for info on the difference between the Suspension Techniques RSB and the Addco RSB. What I came up with is that the ST RSB is 7/8" in diameter and the Addco RSB is .875" in diameter. When I did the calculation of 7 divided by 8 I get the same number --> .875. So, how is the Addco RSB thicker than the ST RSB? Is one actually better than the other?

I really have no idea, but just because their the same diameter doesn't mean the pipe of the RSB's are the same thickness.

I've had both and regardless of listed measurements the Addco bar is DEFINITELY much thicker and beefier.

OK, then, Addco it is. So, where is the best place to purchase said bars (ST front and Addco rear)?

I'd say Ebay. You can also buy the Addco RSB from shox.com but I'm pretty sure the ST sways come as a set. You can't buy just 1 ST sway bar from shox.com. If anybody else knows of a cheaper place to get them, please chime in.

Shox.com seems to be the place for suspension parts for our cars.

as for the difference between the ST and addco. ST is .75" not .875". Addco is .875"

On Shox.com the ST RSB is rated as 7/8" thick. That comes out to .875", but maybe that's a misprint. Another good place to get them seems to be from our fellow .org member Brian ("Internetautomart") at his website:

He has decent prices and also an Intrax RSB. I wonder how that one is rated. You can also get the ST bars separately at his site.
