Getting to know the average 3rd gen owner...
When I had my 3rd gen...
Delievered pizza, became a manager, helped open/train/manage another store, went back to school.
Now I'm a full time student. I 'work' for my school newspaper as a photo editor ('work' because the pay is not worth the time but it's fun sooo...). I occasionally have computer work (hardware/networking) or car work (mainly helping family/friends) on the side.
I love it when the driver isn't expecting it and jumps/twitches/spazzes/tourettes/etc

I do have a lot of the newer faster machines on maint. but right now they just don't fail. Its these counties that refuse to upgrade that are having the problems.

IBM really screws you if you don't upgrade when they want you too. If it weren't for that, we would probably still be on an 820.

I'm a co-owner of the recyvling bussiness, we export computers/monitors/&other electronics to Hong Kong/Malasya, etc.
My 2nd job is Cleaning up & Maintenance in a marketing agency.
I'm 31 years old and married for 8 years.
I also own a 1993 Inegra with mild upgrades
& 1988 stock Prelude, which is one of the best handling cars I've ever driven', the only upgrades I had were the wheles & tires.
BTW, My '92 Maxima SE has an air intake, plus wheels & tires. It handels way better than it use it seems like it still requires a lowered suspension.

Than you must be a lucky man, personally I've noticed the quality when I'm at some of my clients houses and they're watching TV while I fix their computer and its just crappy. I guess some services have their ups and downs in different regions.

dunno but there is pretty much no smog and I have a perfect un obstructed shot to the sat. Heck on the aiming meter it goes almost all the way up in signal strength. I also have comcast because its cheaper to have the basic cable package and internet than just internet. I would not stand for the picture I get with that if I had to watch it. It is the worst snowy picture on most channels. Granted I live out in the county so that may have something to do with it. Either way I have been very happy with my Dish system and I am very picky.
on Dish - I have it also, haven't had any problems i wouldn't have had with cable...our cable system is crap where I live and DirecTV is basically the same as Dish - I've worked for DirecTV before and they are no different.....
lol boy am I good disorienting a thead into off-topic, sorry about that fellas.
You guys get good image from Dish but from what I've seen here its not worth getting. I personally havent had it but wouldn't either, at least not in Chicago.
Shall we go back on topic

In keeping with the thread discussion, I'm 29, work in marketing, and live in Asheville, NC.
I've been driving a 93 GXE for over two years and just sold it with 231K on it, still running great. This is my first post (which is going to become more and more obvious as you read on), since I'm now the proud owner of a 93 SE Auto.
I'm trying to figure out how to ask a couple questions, but I can't start a new thread. I'll ask these questions here, so please point me in the right direction. (I've read through all the FAQs I could find)
My vtcs are ticking for about a minute or two on cold starts. Otherwise the car runs beautifully. First question: will it damage the engine at all to leave the vtcs as-is until I can do something about them? I'm desperately wanting to wind this thing out, but I'm a little hesitant.
Second, is grounding the vtcs a reasonable long term option? The car only has 65K on it and I want to use it for a long time. I wouldn't even consider doing the replacement work myself, but I could do the grounding. Again, I'm just wondering if it's really a good option, given the high cost of replacement/repair.

You need to meet a minimum post count before you can start a new thread - just keep looking thru the threads that others have created and contribute your knowledge on the subjects and you'll be able to create a thread in no time...
