Shifter locked...

Gents,
Got in the car started it up and the shifter won't move out of park. Normally there is a clicking sound from under passenger side kick panel. I turned the car on and off several times until it unlocked. I assume the lock out control is there. Is there anyway to bypass this?

Thanks Guys!

pumping the brake will fix it sometimes, there is also a release switch in the front of the shifter so you dont need to turn the car on and off.

no offense but that honestly took me... 45 seconds to find? my car does the same, and i posted in the thread, so that's part of the reason I knew where to find the thread. I just took the box out and accepted that i'll always have to shift with 2 hands to get into gear.
