opinions on these wheels for my 3rd gen

I know the pic isn't that good, but I can get a really good deal on these.

JDM Work rims, 17x7 +35 offset. Black with red anodized lip.

Too ricey?

Opinions. Let me have it.

Hmm...They MAY look good with the red accents on your car or maybe a black car, but it's hard to tell...Can you photochop them on for us to see?

Dibs on the 4th gen wheels!!! lol

anyway - those are crazy looking - would be interesting to see if they would look good on a red car. I think they would look better on your car than teh car that they are on.

I thought they looked a little rice from the pic given, but once photoshopped (Or Actually "Fireworksed") they're not that bad looking....

I did the best I could with the given pic of them...

IMO, they'd look better on a black car. but id say pick them up, try them out. if you like them, keep them. if not, sell. im sure many people want rare work rims.

Looks like the spoke sticks out from the bead where the tire mounts (not quite sure on the termology..)....I hate that.

If they were like my rims they'd look awesome.

i remember when the 3rd gen max first came out in november of 88' and the baddest rims i seen on this car back then was the Enkei or BBS mesh wheels. I'd like to get a set of 16"s or 17"s but there very very rare. They were resimbled to the ssr forumla mesh wheel still ran today. I've been to many junkyard and there mostly on older bimmers but the lug sizes are different. A set of those and the old kaminari bodykit and you thought back then "I was the man" but that was nice look back then

good work with the photochop.

that does look kind of nice...I was also thinking that rolling down the highway that red lip would look good.

hmmm, you are making me think about it more.

not bad, but I'd prefer a more matte finish on the wheels.
the real question is how much do they weigh?

Your opinion is your own.

But how do those wheels make it a honda?

Works are true racing wheels.

And who said flashy isn't in. And who said those were flashy? When I think flashy.. I think all chrome.

IMO, they are slightly ricey, but I think they look good. Work wheels are found more on Skylines, Supras, Silvias and the like.

These were originally on a Skyline. I guess those aren't Nissans and they aren't very sporty. Currently, they are on an MR2 Turbo. I guess those aren't very sporty, either.

The color works on your car.

Looking for new rims? Does that mean you aren't trying to sell anymore?

Yeah Im curious to see what they look like on a red car, they look slick on that black car. Never seen rims with a red rim like that.

I just sold my 2006 Tundra, so I need to keep the car a while to get to work and stuff. I really do like 3rd gens. I would like to get something faster (or has an easier potential to be faster) but I am happy with the Maxima.

Plus, I got back about $4k in positive equity, so I have a little money to buy something I want (like new wheels hehe). I am going to buy a beater truck just to haul junk around in, but I think I can find something reasonable for $2500 or so.

I am really thinking about a full size dodge with a 318. I probably won't have the money until the end of the week for that, though. Then I will be out of town for most of the next week.

When I think of your car I always think of it as very classy, and that would probably take away that aspect of your car. For me at least. I'm not against giving it a try though.

You're too old for Hot Wheels?

Seriously, I don't like them. Maybe without the red lip, I do it.

Redlines were one of my favorites...

Do you like them better knowing they are 17s and weigh 13 lbs?

thanks for the compliment.

I am going to try and buy them. I might have trouble hooking up with the guy, so he might even have them sold.

I will still have the 4th gen wheels with brand new tires to fall back on if I really hate them.

Probably because I live in The Dalles, about an hour east of Portland. I pretty much only drive my car to meets, anyway. It is my extra car, so I only put maybe 1500-2000 miles on it a year.

I have the money in my hand right now. I just need to make it into Portland. My wife has been working every night this week, so Saturday I will get them if they haven't sold. I am going to call him again tonight to be sure I didn't get screwed.
