53K gxe at the junkyard!

I was amazed! its just a 90gxe but wow. The interior is mint and the enginebay is a little dirty, and I have no idea why its in here....its not wrecked and I didn't see any signs of a repo....

I pulled the window switches tho, any one need anything else?

i'm going to assume it was an engine/tranny failure (most likely caused by neglect, with that low of a mileage figure) and the person didn't want to respend the car's vaule on a repair. That or the mileage was rewound, and it was actually driven like 500k miles.

no carfax anymore. now that i know i can 5spd-swap i have no need to look for info about another car.

yo alexxxx. how about the TPS plus some of the harness (however much you can snip) for it? I'm going to solder the old harness to the new so it gets all waterproof again. (and the fuse puller if you can nab it. my car didn't come with one. ) and the reflector panel so I can smash it open and steal the letters. actually can you smash it open for me and just pull off the letters and put them in a box? that will save on shipping. thx

Gonna have to try better than that, I know your U Pull It prices are not cheaper than ours but thats a little too low, lower than the prices here. Are you trying to rip off this poor high school student? How dare you!

um, I didn't see it in the FS but anyhow, I also need the PS line fittings and stuff that are located on the passenger strut tower. I will check the general way that stuff is built, and tell you exactly what I'm looking for. I'll also see if the big bolt can be tightened. If not, I'll know I need newer parts, but I don't know how many, if any, actual hoses I'll need.

Mine is leaking pretty steadily (goes from FULL to REFILL in about 3 weeks) and that's the place it is leaking from. That entire side of my car is a total mess of PS fluid.

And apparently the only way to remove the reflector panel letters is to grind them off, because they are molded into the plastic, not glued on. I'll probably get some taken off a 4th gen instead.

I told him to pm me with a price. I just gave him a benchmark. I don't expect him to sell them for $6 each. Especially since you can't pocket them while they're in the rails.

those things are rare. only 1 in 60 was made with a 5-speed. or something stupid like that (only 1 in 50 6th gen maximas were made with 6-speeds...). What year? the newest Mondeo in the UK is maxima-sized, however it is impossible to equip one with an automatic transmission. why can't we be more like the UK in that respect?

What's weird is it had an emissions inspection on March 28 and passed, surely it had to be running pretty good. Maybe the tranny went out on it or something.

doubt it, they charge the same whether the part has 2k or 2m on it. They don't care

mmmm... in the other hand, even they sell it at the same price, people will be more attracted to a low mileage car, I think that was what plaman88 mean.

Yeah it was, when buying stuff like injectors I would buy 53k I wouldn't buy 220, they are almost guaranteed shot.

Gotta keep in mind too that injectors on 54k mile car have most likely never been changed unlike a car with 230k miles on it, there's more chance of the injectors not being original anymore
