How is the market for 3rd Gens?
I was asked this question and didn't know how to answer. I have a 90 Max SE whose KBB value is about 1500 (selling for 1300) and a 92 whose about 2500. I know people in this site love this car, but how does the market treat these cars? I'll be selling my 90 in about a month and i'm wondering if anyone can give me any foresight into what i can expect. Both cars are about stock that run as they should with good bodies. Will it be sitting a while or can i expect sorta mustang-like interest where it'll be sold within a few weeks?

If it's stock, unmolested, in good condition, and priced decently, then it should sell quickly.
Lots of people are picking these things up as first cars for their kids now. lots of highschoolers and early college people driving them. cheap, reliable transportation. Dare I say it, it's like the late 80s Civics when I was in high school..

I think kbb is a decent indicator of the value on these, especially ones in good shape. Around $1500-$2500 for a nice VE is fairly common.
I didn't have much luck trying to sell mine, but my price was high because I didn't really feel like taking off any mods. I am also kind of isolated from most of the country. I had a lot of people say they wanted it, but I was too far away.
Now I kind of need to keep it because I am doing more traveling and I sold the new Tundra I had. I have driven it more this year already than the last two years combined.

Never buy a car from a dealer!

How about me? I'm happy for what I got and happy it went to another 3-gen enthusiast.

What did you end up making, like $10k off your insurance company for all the maximas?
