lol at the GOLD package. Its just electroplating. I had a good friend that made good money in the 90s when it was so popular. He would do it for the average joe and dealers as well.

He had an electroplating machine and would plate the emblems and grills while they were still on the car so no the GOLD package is no factory thing nor a big deal really.

as far as the price that was paid...He should be able to get his money out of it and he is happy with his purchase so no need to keep on about it.

LOL! I was being sarcastic about the "GOLD" package. I remember that from the 90s too. I thought it was kinda silly, I guess the young puppies here don't remember.
AND yes I'm happy with my purchase. It will serve it's purpose well as a parts car. If I try to fix it and use the body parts form my 92 pearl white gxe then I would still need to get it painted and that would be an extra expense. I guess I could sell on Burford hwy to an illegal like goon9 said for 1500, but thats not the purpose that it's intended for. I'm going to strip it down like "Pimp My Ride" and "Overhaulin" and have a big pile of parts sitting next to a bare frame (a bent one at that!). Then I'll use all the parts I can to fix up my 92 and get it back on the road. Then, maybe I'll start a FS thread and sell some parts since there seems to be some interest in the parts. And the sooner the better, like I said my wife is ready for this to be done. I'll take my time and have fun with it and learn something in the process.
Oh yeah, greenMax94, it is dark green. It says DJ2 Black Emerald, but it is dark green.
Thanks for everbodys input!

too much damage? theres a door (maybe 2), window and side skirt to repair. that's not bad at all when you look at mine, lol....the junkyard comment is true also. i think you'll definately get your money's worth out of it.

I'm about to buy one for $300 that hit a deer and ruined the radiator, hood and bumper.....just for parts for mine, so i feel that's well worth it, considering new fenders and a door ALONE are over $300.

just my .02 good find creamy.

Until you wash it, and the sun hits on it at a certain angle and the blue pops out and you realize it's the best 3rd gen color

When it rains it pours!

Arrrrgh!!!
I just found another maxima - 90 SE auto black on black with a blown head gasket. The guy wants $300 for it, damn. I hope he still has it in a few weeks, when I'm done with the green one I'll have a good motor left over, hmmm.

Yea this reminds me of a popular saying in Colombia and it translates to something like this, some meaning is lost in translation but here: "Once you get married..its when you start getting girls that wanna date you"

its a gxe? I thought only SE had the one pc aluminum rims, thought gxe had a hubcap. lol
But look at my name, wtf do I know.

and $400 wasnt bad, dont know what people on here are talking about "if you paud $100 you paid to much" LMAO..

It runs and drives? Only 120+miles?
By the looks of it, you could do that body work yourself and sell it for $2k
but you want it for parts anyways

You're right but only when speaking of 4th and 5th generation (Not 5.5th gen) maximas 95-01.

Our 3rd gens both SE/GXE came with rims and I believe they're alloy not aluminum but I could be wrong on what material they are. All I know is that they never came with steelies. Not in the US at least.

If you can sell a GXE for 2k your are king. Consider the highest Value on a gxe in blue booked at $400.

I got the front door open finally

after a little work and a lot of sweat...

The last one shows how much the frame is bent in.

I'm still not sure if I'm going to fix it, but it would be easier to get the frame straightned and put on a new door, than to swap an engine and transmission and whatever else. Anybody know how much a body shop would charge to straighten that out?

IMO it doesnt seem too bad, my friend at his body shop quoted to pull 300 bucks for the core support so I dont know how much it would be for that.

You are absolutely right! Is it worth it to put more money in it to fix it? I don't think so, plus I'd still have a 92 GXE with a bad transmission.
I'm going to stick to my original plan to use it as a parts car! Everybody kept saying, "You can fix that!", so I had to see if it was possible and/or worth it. I can see it's possible, but not worth it. So now I'll be busy takin all the parts off I need.
Then, if all goes well, the next thread I start will be a For Sale/Parting Out a Green 93 GXE!!!

OK guys! Let's hold off on the dibs please. I'll start a FS thread as soon as I'm done. I'll do my best to keep track of dibs already made. Thanks for all the interest!
