I have considered a monochromatic color scheme, but i havent found the right color green paint in the stores yet, most of the greens are too light..

I thought about going black on the fstb mounts/and i think you might be on to something with the rear nissan logo...
I forgot that i painted the batt strap..

It really didn't cost that much paint wise[under $30]
But it does take plenty of time and patience..
green +red = brown = poo. not a great choice in color.
when I had my 93GXE, I did the amp rack in Dupli-color green that matched the outside of the car almost perfectly. BUT.. I wouldn't recommend it in the engine bay. dark colors like that just don't really look good, IMO.
I'm not sure what your desire is- flashy and bright or just clean and tasteful.. I'm going to guess you just want to dress it up and make it look good but keep it tasteful..
I'm thinking a silver/grey/high gloss black theme would look nice. you're not going to find a ton of colors that go with the green unfortunately.

I think a nice quality silver paint on the red parts would look nice/w the current black parts...

Yeah,i would like to keep it tasteful but i'm affaid i have already overdone it on the red parts...

I like the idea of silver in place of the red parts/w the already black parts staying black...
well its not so much too much color but too many different colors. I don't like how the IM doesn't match the VC.
I do think the color I used on my last engine bay would look really good with the dark green car like yours.

well when you do your motor swap you can just send me the parts and I will paint them for a small fee. I will even grind down the nibs on the upper IM like I did mine and smooth the rest of the IM so its nice and slick like mine was.
That emerald green is probably my favorite color on a car. What you could do is take it to a paint place and have them color match it with the little gauge gun thing they have, have them make you the spray cans and it would be exactly the same as the body. That would look pretty killer. Of course that is a little more spendy...

Thanks for the offer michael, but this is more about me wanting to do something different to it myself...that is half the fun for me..

Huh? My engine bay is sparking clean imo...
except for the battery, which i may paint black also,i would hate to replace it,it's just 2-3 years old.I'm not going to add any diferent colors, but i think michael hit the nail on the head with all the "different" colors kinda clashing to me..
I think i will go all black on the current red parts,or maybe black valve cover/w silver intake tubes...
ugh...choices..

All the duplicolor greens in my local stores are for domestics/w all of them being either too light of green,and/or extremely large metal flakes compared to the nissan green...
Seems a bit dusty and dirty still. Just inbetween washings? Shawn had his engine bay pretty clean.
I still think you need to polish up the fstb and use dressings on all the rubber parts. That would go along way to making your colors stand out more.

Shawn likes polished everything and anything that can't be polished painted black (or a low key tone) with some colors as accents (trim)
Shawn appreciates the comments btw
Can't be polished meaning cast iron (block/egr body/etc).
Polished and a machined/billet look go hand in hand btw
but you've gone with a color and used it enough that it works, although probably better in person
