A few dull spots here and there but not bad. Some sanding and buffing will take care of that easily.

so wait were those pics you already posted just pics of the base coat? If so then that explains the non shiny spots since base dries to a flat appearance.

anyway post the pics up...you did a good job...people do not realize how difficult paint and body work can be. There is a reason its so expensive to get a paint job.

couple of runs ain't too bad at all.

You did a really good job on the car. Those small runs will sand out easily. Very little peel as well...I am impressed by a first time painter in high school...very nice.

I cant wait to see it outside (florescent lights dont give you the best looks in pics) and especially when you get your wheels on.

I wish I had taken some body shop classes in college or something (didnt have shop in my HS way back in the 80s) instead of having to learn it all on my own in the last few years.

Are you going to make a career of auto body or is it just something you are enjoying in HS?

Very good job with the paint, a few dust nibs here and there and the runs, but I've seen much worse from "professional" painters.

I must say that is a TONNE of metallic in there, lets see some sun pictures!

As far as wheels, simple is your friend when you're into third gens. If you want chrome, get chrome, but how about something like this??

I think that (or something like it) would look pretty sharp on a dark coloured max.

Besides, black wheels are ugly

The paint job looks great. I can't wait to see shots outside.

The Kazera wheels are very heavy, but look nice.

mine too.
you'll have better luck making a performance car than a bling car to sell
bling cars need a name behind them for prestige.
Performance cars make their own names.

the problem with building an "affordable" car is you need the economy of scales to do it. which means you need big bucks to start with.
something I ain't got, hell I don't even have little bucks

AWESOME job, tigg. Like Michael said, I too wish I had body/paint classes in my schooling. (my max needs both )

I really like it when people put a lot of heartfelt work into their car. I can tell you really like doing this stuff.

good luck in the future

NONE up front?? That is crazy. dark blue might look pretty good. But I'd go black because of the wheels...

But I always try to match trim colors

in most, if not all, states you cannot legally tint the front windows.
