HELP!!! 3rd gen keeps dying!

so my mom owns a 3rd gen non-se its been well over 14-15 years already. the max started having stalling issues recently though. I'd drive it and when i give throttle or come to a stop, sometimes she just shut off. all the lights come on the dash and the engine dies. i did a tune up (fuel filter, cap, rotor, spark plugs and wires, air filter) and she still does the same.

When does it happen more? Hitting a bump? Quick stop? Randomly?

I been trying to track down the same issue with my wife's car and thought is was fuel pump, but that turned out a no go.

I am now thinking maybe in around the alarm system. She also has a strange issue of opening the driver door w/ the key and alarm may go off and having to open trunk w/ the key to turn it off.

It may have a cracked vacuum hose somewhere, rubber gets brittle over time, and 15 years is quite a while for hoses. Check carefully for the sound of air while the engine is running, should sound like letting air out of a tire but probably more subtle. While the engine is off and cold, squeeze and tug on the different small rubber hoses to see if you can spot cracks when they deform.

Good luck!

Is your idle speed too low? Maybe a bad torque converter. I am guessing since my first guess was going to be your spark plugs but you already replaced those.
