Side mirror replacement question

Side mirror replacement question

The other day, I was replacing my busted passenger-side mirror and I noticed that there were two connectors side by side. Mirror was connected to the white one above, but the second blue connector was just hanging there. Anyone know what it's for?

The blue connector is for the heated mirriors option...
