I'd like to know the approximate HP/Torque gains for the following mods. I have a rough idea, but I'd like to hear from the experts. ;>

JWT POP charger aftermarket airfilter
Cattman Y-pipe (2.25") or custom Y-pipe 2.5" muffler set
Test cats 2.5"
JWT ECU (with the above mods to allow for freer flow)
UD pulley (UR)
CAI (PR - after the JWT POP charger is installed)

I'm going to add NOS, 50hp or 75hp shot, haven't decided yet. Will depend on the condition of the '92-'94 SE drivetrain and automatic transmission.

Thanks again!

Mahalo,
Max Z

JWT POP charger: 5-7 tops
Cattman Y-pipe (2.25") or custom Y-pipe 2.5" muffler set : I would say 10-12 hp. My custom pipe made that..
Test cats 2.5": Maybe 3-5 hp
JWT ECU (with the above mods to allow for freer flow): About 15-18% of total hp and tq.
UD pulley (UR): At the current time only ASP makes a pulley for the Maxima. I would say around 3-5 hp..
CAI (PR - after the JWT POP charger is installed): 10-12

PS: Do youself a favor and don't get the PoP charger if your gonna get the CAI. Its just another $105 you have to spend and it doesn't have a gain over the non-PoP version of the CAI. And whats your name on TT.net?

Any other questions?

=)

I figure, with the CAI instead of the POP charger, I can get about 256.3 HP from a '92-'94 SE. Add on some NOS, and I can get 306.3 to 331.3 HP, depending on whether I get the 50hp or 75hp shot. Damn. That could go toe-to-toe with my Z, seeing that they both weigh the same.

My handle on twinturbo.net is Zero.

Hmm...not to rain on your parade......

I'd say 250 is way WAY too high. Yea.....those are all significant mods....esp the jwt ecu but 250 is crazy. Your only starting with 190....60hp is ALOT to add with just bolt on's. Figure 15-20hp for the Y and Intake together....and that may be on the high side. The cat probably isn't gonna do much...but a few and same with the pulley....a few hp. As far as the jwt ecu....err...15%-18% again seems way too high. I HAVE heard that the ecu adds more hp with more mods but its probably more like 10% or less. Figure if it added 15% of the stock 190 that would be almost 30hp! Were NOT running boost here....just timing and fuel maps. 220-230 crank is more accurate.

Also if don ever makes a 3rd gen Vale body, which i really hope, then that would drop a couple tenths off your 1/4. Under WOT i think it provides FAST FAST shifts. Thats better than adding a intake of muffler.

hey...whats your z putting out hp wise?

any onther questions?
