I just recently checked my tires after lowering my car again and I noticed terrible wear on the front edges. If I get a camber kit for the car will this solve my problem. The car is lwered about 4" so I dont think a regular allighnment will do the job. I remember seeing someone with a kit for sale a while ago. If anyone has one I would be interested. Thanks

92GXE, touring wing, 18” racing wheels, Port&Polished intake, custom intake, custom yellow interior, racing seats, back seats taken out and replaced with subs and amps, NOS kit, Suspension tech. Lowering springs, custom grille, soon to be custom painted and have the whole engine rebuilt for big shot NOS and custom SC and tranny converted to 5-speed.

yeah i need one too. i have pretty bad wear on mine. i'm gonna get a specialty products kit. the front is only $30 but the back is around $70 per side. and the front is adjustable -/+ 1.75 so i dont think it will fully correct yours. and i think the back is adjustable -/+ 2.75.

Damn is there any kit out there I can use. If my tires keep wearing like this I'll need a new set by the end of the month.

So do I need a kit for the back too. The back tires dont seem to be wearing bad at all. When I was pricing kits it seemed like most places only sold a kit for the front. So is the rear kit even nessesary?

i dont think so. my back tires are fine, no uneven wear at all, but the front is pretty bad. i dont plan on gettin a back kit. and if there is just a little wear on yours, no use in paying $140 to fix that little problem that doesnt really matter anyway. ya know?

ingalls engineering makes a rear camber kit and front bolts that give you +- 1 deg camber adjustment..
you can purchase these at http://www.lightningmotorsports.com

I've also found kits that do front and rear for +- 3 deg for about $300.set, but I forget where and who..
check cattmanperformance.com.
I know he sells the front kits for 4th gens on his coilover setup.. maybe he can help you guys too.

$300! Damn i'm not trying to pay that much just for a camber set. I think I'll just buy a set from carparts.com, and make it work. I think there only like $30.

Camber on the cheap

You can elongate one set of holes in the strut where it bolts to the steeting knuckle, so you can pull the top of the wheel out a little. If the bottom mounting holes in the strut have some clearance around the mounting bolts, you may just be able to loosen them a bit to make some camber change.
(Read this on the internet, so it must be true.)

This is a good way to ruin your struts and cause it to be permanently off-balance.

there ARE adjustable camber kits that are cheap, involving very similar concapet to what you just described.. it's actually the bolts themselves that are egg-shaped and slightly offset. sticking this bolt in the top bolt hole on the strut will let you get +-1 deg adjustment. These cost about $25 new, shipped..
