Just some random differences i can think while falling asleep...

GXE.............SE
-chrome trim around windows.......... black trim around windows
-chrome grille............ body colored grille
-black gauges/speedo........... white face gauges/speedo
-Wheels 6" wide...............wheels 6.5" wide (wheels are different design also)
-Standard automatic tranny, no manual available........ standard 5spd, manual available
-front disc, rear drum brakes......... 4 wheel discs
-spoiler is optional................spoiler is standard
-single exhaust tip............dual exhaust tip
-keyless entry standard.............no keyless entry
-softer suspension........... "stiffer" suspension

89-91 Maximas, both SE and GXE had standard 16 valve, single cam... 160 hp/182 lbft or torque.... VG engine....
92-94 GXEs had the same VG engine as previous year maximas....
92-94 SEs had a new 24 valve, dual overhead cam 190 hp VE engine....

there are other minor differences, etc.. but i hope u got the point.......SE is more of the sporty version.... while the GXE is the regular....more luxurious.....

16 Valve?!?! how does that work with 6 cyl? Try 12 valves.

They must be working on that weird European conversion system. That 6th cylinder must have one valve...

nope

GXE came standard with auto; only way to have a 3rd gen GXE 5spd is a custom conversion

SE came standard with manual tranny with the option of auto

stupid newbie j/k ngthing

like I said before, NO
all 3rd gen GXE are auto unless custom converted
4th and 5th gens are different though because I believe their GXE comes stock with a 5spd so maybe that's why you're confused
