I test drove a 2001 Maxima Se the other day, and i think its slower than my 1992 Maxima Se. Is this right? It supposely has 30 more hp. Maybe its the gearing or somthing, but i know my car is faster. Anyone else agree or know that they are slower?

Well the 2k1 is faster from what i have seen on the tracks. I have driven the 5th gen and it does seem like it's slow but it really isn't...

I know the 2K Max feels slower to me, but maybe it's the impression of slowness I'm getting. Either that, or I'm just talking out of my @$$!!

Guess the only way to really find out is cruise around and look for a 5th Gen and get him to race you.. Just don't get if he hands you your butt..

Was it a stick or auto.....

I'm pretty sure the sticks will hand most third gens thier butts on a platter! only comp, maybe a 5spd VE, considering drivers are equally talented! but who knows???
