k how fast is a 78 firebird with a chevy 355 with headers a k&n filter a b&m shift kit, about how much hp?
93 gxe with a pop charger have any chance?

his hp is probably somewhere around yours + 100 (give or take 50 or so given the limited info, but you get the point).
I like James' advice - don't even try it. I like my Maxima, but it's hard to beat old-school.

exactly how much power does an exhaust add? coupled with a y pipe and intake?

and is nos strret legal?

Uhhhhhh...........

Take it from someone who has run with Domestic iron before. The chances you have beating a '79 T/A are equivalent to your chances of getting a date with a Victoria's Secret Supermodel. A VE even with supercharger AND nitrous couldn't even hang.

One thing you left out was whether or not dude is running 3.55s or 3.73s in the rear axle. If he is running 3.73s, he WILL kill you on takeoff. If he is running 3.55s (or lower), you are toast all across the board.
