Reverse y pipe is the easiest way. You'll only be able to run low boost without getting nasty with the motor though..

How hard would it be to make the stillen SC for the 95' max work on my VG. Superchargers all do the same thing in theory. It shouldn't be that hard to customize right. I'm not sure tell me what you think. And if a scoop has to be made on the hood thats not a problem. I just want to know if there are any other problems I'll run into.

92GXE, touring wing, 18” racing wheels, Port&Polished intake, custom intake, custom yellow interior, racing seats, back seats taken out and replaced with subs and amps, NOS kit, Suspension tech. Lowering springs, custom grille, soon to be custom painted and have the whole engine rebuilt for big shot NOS and custom SC and tranny converted to 5-speed.

umm.... you want to take a S/C from a VQ and put it on your VG?? There's some major work.. and I mean MAJOR work to do that. Not worth it in my opinion.

I'm talking about getting any supercharger in general. They all work the same way. All I need to do is hook up the hoses and find a place to put it. It cant be as hard as everyone thinks. I think some people arent being to creative. If you look at SC they all do the same thing. The force in more air. If you customize the hosing it should work. I'll make it work somehow. I'm just not a big fan on turbo's myself.

i would take a S/C over turbo but turbo is the cheapest way to go on our cars. If you plan on putting your battery in your trunk and moving everything around to make more room then go for it, then you have to find a place to mount the S/C so it can still hook up to a belt, then all your hoses.
it all depends on $$$.

I personally wanna put a S/C for low power, and turbo for higher speeds. but i don't have the time or money right now.

You might want to ask the general forum...

But expect to pay around $4k for a custom turbo. Also you will need some bigger injectors and a fuel pump. I suggest if your serious about this order some 300zx twin turbo injectors and a fuel pump from courtesy nissan. Next you will need to get a reprogrammed ECU from JWT. They will need to remap it for the injectors and with a custom turbo program. Next you will need a boost controller I suggest the APEXI AVC-R. But this is not going to be cheap, you would see better results from a wet 40-50 shot NOS kit.

The Apex'i AVC-R sucks azz. It boost spikes a lot. The HKS EVC IV rules. Ask Orion(who I should congratulate for putting down mega-numbers at the Supra/RX-7 meet) Good job, dude..

Moving the battery in the trunk an other placement mods arent a problem. I just want to make a SC work. Cant be hard after a little customization. Maybe I'll make my custom hood with a place to put my blower.

your going to shove a blower out of the hood on your max?
um
if i pulled up next to you and saw a blower on a maxima i would laugh my *** off. YOu don't necessarily have to put the S/C on top to where you ahve to have a scoop.
Theirs room if you look around for it.
i have. Their could be a little moving around of things, and expect to spend around 5 grand.

I'm not gonna have a blower sticking out of my hood. Thats ugly as ****. I mean that I'll use thr hood to placxe my SC somewhere if needed. I pprobably wont need to though like you say. I'd laugh at a blower sticking out of a Max too.

Well like i said theirs room but look to pull the engine out, which if your not going to do yourself the cheapest i've found to have the labor done is $500, and that's with 12 hours of labor. Then you got the custom built S/C or modified which will be a hell of alot. My project is to hit 600hp

but not for awhile
gotta pay it off first
Fighting with the loan that it's on.

Well good luck! And I do, do all of the work myself. I'll customize the SC myself I just need to find a cheap one first that will do the job.

That would be a good idea. I could probably get a SC from a junk yard soon. I'm sure the women that drive the new frontiers will find a way to put them in the junk yard. Maybe only the women I know though.

I would imagine so if you have the $$.

Stillen's is for the DOHC. Stillen told me to contact Climax racing about a custom S/C for the SOHC.
