Just got my appraisal from the insurance company and they are going to give me $1,400 just to replace parts. Need new hood, replace bumper, right fender, right headlight, new radiator, tranny cooler, grille hood latch, and radiator support. Would it be worth my time to do all of it myself?
Insurance company is charging $1,109 for labor. I also would have to find a place that will paint it for me cheap. What do you guys think? 137,000 miles on the car and would love to repair and keep it. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

It seems like they should be giving you more.

My accident? I'm sorry to say it, but yes. It was a low speed impact in a parking lot though. Clearly my fault.

No broken pieces, but there are bent ones. I have good insurance, so it will get fixed. I still hate myself for it though - there was no reason for it to happen.

Its not real bad, bent core support, maybe headlight and grill. Maybe hood. I don't know yet.

how fast were you going when you rear ended the civic?

because i dont think ur maxima should be hurt at all...
only the civic should be like kinda damanged... they are weak cars..

i dont know.. i just dont think your maxima should be even damnaged.. that much you wouldnt need to replace all that..
i've hit a gaurd rail with my maxima on the driver side... going 38 mph..... and it didnt even phase it, besides broke the front turn signal... which i dont even care about

My car is lowered the Civic was not, so it took the force of the accident all in the grill/headlights area. There was NO bumper contact.
