I was hunting around the site and found out some valuable info with regards to fuel injectors and what to expect. Well, let me add my two cents....I recently had to replace 2 injectors also. The car was running VERY rough and yes, there was a loss of power as well. My Maxima is a 1990 SE with only 84K. The original owner also had to replace a couple injectors.

I need to know if I should use a fuel additive as a preventive means or not take the gamble?! My dad says yes; however, he doesn't own a Nissan, let alone a Maxima. What's your scoop?

Thanks,

Mark

I need two injectors as well...

My car is VERY sluggish... Takes forever to accelerate and has a bit of "Can"like noises coming in from engine area and backfires at low rpms. Was it like this for you?

If so... did the injectors fix these symptoms up?
How does your car run now?

You know what I found because I just got my car and they replaced the whole back bank of injectors on that because the heat off the back of the engine backed the electrocoil that controls the opening and closing of the injector tip. There was a recall for just this problem that involved a heat shield for those. call up your deal and make sure it was done or if your car is eligible,

Heat sheild?! I'll be checking that out for SURE! Thank you very much. I had no idea of that recall or any others for that matter. I have to replace the muffler and after that's done, I'll be better able to hear and feel the engine sound, etc.

Thanks again,

Mark
