Do the US market auto Maximas (3rd Gen) have speed govenors? I have a JDM Maxima and it is limited to 180Kph and have just changed to a NZ market speedo that goes up to 240 Kph. I was wondering if the govenor is located on the speedo and sends a signal to the ECU or whether it is controlled in the ECU only (or by some other mechanism).

Anybody know for sure?

Also, does the speed signal from the transducer go from the sensor to the speedo and then to the ECU or does it go Sensor, ECU then speedo? I think it goes to the speedo first. Anybody know?

Brent.
