I am having trouble trying to locate where the PCV valve is on my 1990 GXE. I have put 234,000 miles on my car over 10 years and I don't ever remember anyone change the PCV valve. I bought one several years ago and planned on changing it myself. I could not locate where the original one was mounted. My book says it is located toward the back of the engine close to the fire wall. I still have never been able to find it. Can anyone please help this shade tree mechanic by giving a simple explanation that maybe a 3rd grader could understand?

Thanks very much,

David

Don't feel bad, I haven't found mine either. I have 199,040 miles on Maxine, and I have yet to find it. Let me read through my chilton's manual and I'll repost where it actually is

Thank you very much for your help. I will try to locate it tonight. I have been running Mobile 1 synthetic for about 180,000 and changing oil every 6-7 thousand. My max does not use or leak any oil with over 234,000 and still going strong. I highly recommend Mobile 1 even though it is more expensive.

Sincerely,

David Moore
