I removed my stock spoiler today because the side was curled up an inch or so from the trunk. Now that it's removed I can see that the steel structure of the spoiler is dissentegrated from rust.

What's the best way to reattatch the spoiler?
Double sided tape?
Industrial strength glue?
or should I fabricatr some kind of replacement steel piece to secure the spoiler to the trunk?

any suggestions?

Double sided tape will do it. I need to do mine too.

I have been using this double sided tape kit with industrial strength velcro. So far it was worked really good. Eventually I plan to get the spoiler fixed by a shop.

thanks guys, I'll try to velcro.
If that doesn't work I might just bondo up the holes and paint the trunk. I think the lines of the car look much cleaner without the spoiler.

windshield caulk

I got a bottle of windshield sealant caulk. I think this was a recommendation from someone a while back.

I asked a guy at a windshield shop specialty and he just gave me one of the used bottles (still 3/4 full). I will try it one of these days and am glad to pass it on to those who needs it.

My spoiler started to detach a few years ago (while my mom still drove the car) and when we had it taken to our friend who owned a body shop he glued back the curling part of the spoiler. It appears he just used some kind of heavy-duty glue, I will ask him what exactly he used when I my car is there to have rust removed in the next week or so. Whatever he did seems to work because the spoiler hasn't begun curling again.
