Good news, finally found out that the steering shaking and exhuast splatter I have been having was found to be caused by a failed fuel injector, thus running on 5 cylinders. Got the injectors out and got them tested on the machine for around $90 (in Australia).

Bad news, new Nissan injector cost $309 (Australian), there was a after market one available for around $100-200, but thought better be safe and go with the original parts.

Now I think I owe some one $20 for saying that it was the injectors.....

The cleaners that are available comercially go in the gas tank. Make sure you have a full tank first though.

Hey thanks, I thought there might have been a special emptying container for it in the engine.

Australia hey!

Hey godspeed,
Im from Australia too. I have a 1993 Nissan Maxima Ti, Super White. (Top Line Model). So where abouts in Oz are you? Maybe we could meet up and check out each others car? My car is mainly stock. I like them orginal. Have much information on Nissan Maxima's?? I find that it is really hard to get much information out of Nissan here in Australia! Email me if you like. kitt@nobbys.net.au
Im from Singleton, NSW near Newcastle.... See ya...
Oh I also had the same problem as you with the injectors. I replaced them all with new Nissan ones. Yes they are very expensive. But it will fix the problem. How is your Auto Trans???
