how much?

ok, 92 max SE, ST springs, full exhaust with a real nice muffler, pop charger, courtesy ftsb, lebra, fogs, black on black leather, bose, heated mirrors, all the buttons. really good shape. a few dings ya know. but otherwise pretty nice. i was thinkin of askin 5. is that way too high? i want a 93+ talon or eclips turbo. I am sick of being in the 14's. I want something i can get to rip. what do you guys think?

thats about right but if i was looking at it, with all the stuff u have on it i would be willing to pay alittle more....how many miles does it have?

ryan sell the mods seperately...talon tsi is a good buy. it could be built up but the motor/tranny are VERY unreliable...

116k on it. it had 84k when i bought it last june. i put alot on it. all highway from school and back. do you think i'll make more selling it stock and selling the mods seperate? or should i find some kid and talk him into a car that's already been started for him?

You could probably get more selling the mods seperatly, and then you could still relatively easily sell the car stock for $5k minus the mods if it's in pretty good shape like you said. People dont wanna usually buy a used modded car, because a used modded car = abused.

However, if you can find some kid who wants to get into the whole Maxima "tuning" thingy or whatever, you might convince him to buy it. Although, I dunno how many young guys are gonna wanna buy a modded Maxima, they'll all be out looking at Hondas like all their friends.

Selling the mods seperatly is your best bet, you'll make more money.

A friend did have turbo talon and had tranny issues.

yeah, we blew up one TSI already. i dunno, i'm just thinking i need something faster! i really like having a nice 4 door, but other than runnin NOS it really doesn't seem like i'm gonna be all that quick. I dunno. i may just do all the bolt ons possible and call it a day. we'll have to see.

heh...my buddy (former .org member) now has a 13 sec talon. he's blown the turbo, motor and tranny already. car is fast as hell now though...

I know you want speed but a DSM turbo is nothing but trouble(at least from my experience)...for the last year me and my boy have been modding his '95 GST, intake, exhaust and boost controller upped to 13psi...good enough for mid/low 14's, but aside from being incredibly quick, his car has had a multitude of mechanical problems. as well as my other two friends one with a '91 Galant VR-4(same engine as '93 Eclipse) and another with a '97 GSX, including lifter problems and bad transmissions(5spds). I mean they are fast cars but the Mitsu repuataion isn't very strong...be careful man!

yeah, i'm starting to think that i would be better off spending some $, freshening up the motor, and bolting on every application they make for my max, flywheel, clutch, rims, place racing CAI, exhaust, y pipe. i dunno maybe some nos. jwt ecu too. i'm gonna dump some serious $ into my car next summer.

Flyry...just keep the max man. Get all the mods you can and you should be pulling off low 14's with some good driving. Then you start getting into stuff like head work.....port/polish....all that stuff, and you could probably be pulling 13's in an N/A max...

DA-MAX: I've been pretty busy the last few months. Yes, I did sell the max.. sold it for $4,900 back in August. I now own 2 cars. One car is a daily driver, the other car is a race/show car. The daily driver is a 99 Galant ES and my race car... hehehehe.. Sorry.. I won't give details until Spring 2002. It's under going serious work *cough*boost*cough*

There still are people looking for 5 speed VEs.. I think you can push it for 4,500-5,500$ I sold my auto VE for 4,900$ with 106k miles on it.
As for a fast car.. I don't know about that low 14s thing James is talking about, Doesn't Johnny Max have like every bolt-on, on his 94 VE 5spd? He's in the mid 14s, 14.6 i think? (correct me if I'm wrong please) The maxima is no race car, if you are looking for something FAST... Turbo is the way my child. Ofcourse it all depends on your price range.. Maybe you should get an old Supra or something like that, maybe a mid 90s VTec Prelude.. There is only so much mods you can put on a VE.

i sold my 91 eclipse gsx to get into my VG 5spd,read up on the DSMs before you buy one,theyre very tempermental,and can become serious money pits because speed is addictive,and the 2 big things you need for them to be superfast are upwards of $1000 each being the turbo and the intercooler,not to mention how they eat timing belts,i had 2 diamond stars,a 90 talon tsi fwd and a 91 eclipse GSX,wasnt really happy with either,blew a trans in one and an engine in the other,but i guess when you got money you dont gotta worry about that kinda stuff...5 sounds good to me though,good luck
