Painting Calips...what paint is best? Color ideas?

So, I'm painting the calips on my 93 GXE with stock wheels.

First, what paint is best? They sell High temp paint at the local Pepboys or autozone for like 4 bucks a can. They also sell it at the local mod shop for 15 bucks a can. Is there a difference? Also, is 500 degree paint enough? Or should I go with 1200?

Next...my car is champaign color...kinda gold. What color should I paint the calips? Any ideas? I'm thinking of a conservative gloss black. Or maybe red?

Does anyone pain their drums, or is that lame?

Thanks in advance for any opinions.

The $4 paint should be fine; I doubt theres any real difference
Also, use some clear coat over it when you're done to help protect the color

Thx for the advise. Those searches helped lots.

What about drums? Should I paint them too? An answer like "No, painting drums sucks." is acceptable.

"I'm just trying to be cool..."
