And i dont mean BMW lights or mesh grills. Im talking about actual sheetmetal work and custom headlight/tailights or fender flares, molded spoilers? If not i think im going to do some crazy things to my maxima in the near future (4/6months). Matt, i have some ideas if you want to discuss them...the rest of the "experts" too..lol

WTF dude? thought you weren't gonna mod this car much?

If you want riceboy mods and crap like that, head down to the body shop on 11th and Yale. drive by and you'll know which one I'm talking about.. there's a red GSX out there right now with a straight-from-japan body kit being installed.. lotsa other funky cars and weird crap parked outside.. they'll do just about anything you want done!

OMG...i was there yesterday..lol. What i was thinking about doing was having the center of the tailights removed and painted body color ( like the newer maximas) and i was looking at putting the headlights off of the 2001 bonniville on the maxima ( they are the same demensions). The whole point of my going there was to get a quote on some body work and a respray. Then i got to thinking about a black/blue pearl paint and the headlight change then the deck lip off of the last year turbo 300z ( the one about 3 inches high)that is moulded into the deck lid. Also thought about blacking the chromr trim around the windows ( like the se) and so forth...A very european look, nothing ricey . What do you think?Charles

yeah, most of that stuff isn't too bad.. the thing with the Z wing is that it's a urethane foam type- just like the OEM spoilers on our cars.. you'll either have to have one made from fiberglass, or someone that can custom mold urethane.. I don't think those guys will have problems doing fiberglass.. I've done some myself, but only stereo stuff that gets covered up with vinyl when I'm done- nothing that has to be very pretty when it's done.

haven't looked at the headlights on the bonneville closely, but it can be done if you're crazy enough to mess with it.
definitely something I don't have time to do.. I'm going to be spending all weekend fixing my alarm and dynamatting my trunk and such.

Yeah , i think im going to have them do it. Its gonna run me about 4000 to do the lights, tails, black trim, bodywork, and black/with blue pearl paint. Im also gonna have them lower the car for an extra 500.

i think flushing out the middle of the taillights like a 4th gen would be hot,i was thinkin about gettin my doorhandles semi-shaven as in the "ring" that goes around them and sidemarkers molded onto the mirror, and i have a pearl white max, gettin a respray with a red pearl in it... gotta see how much $$ though

If your paint is good , the respray is gonna be around 2500. I like the sidemarker idea, i will see how much its gonna be to add that ...thanks.
