I have a VG head to sell. However, if the bolt is broke off then it can be drilled out. My heads are torn down some, so I will have to check to see what is left. Make me an offer. Give me your zip so I can calculate shipping.

yeah i tried to drill out a pair of broken studs 2 weeks ago. front manifold, outside bolts for cyl2 and cyl6. broke 2 bits. couldn't get a good hole... gave up. I just put the thing back on and put in 4 new studs, but it's actually worse than it was before.

cuz i had new 8mm studs on hand, the bits i was using kept breaking anyhow, and my hole was not properly centered. if I ever pull the engine i'll try it agian then, but the way i was doing it... I don't see how I was ever going to get it done. the drill didnt' feel like it was doing any good, besides i can't drill pilot holes now because my tiny bit broke.. my next size up bit broke too and i can't very well start with the 3rd size in line.

If he drilled into a water or oil jacket its screwed and you need a new head, if he just miss drilled it can be saved.

ya all maximas 89-91 are VG30E motors. Gxe kept that motor thru 94. So that's the right head for sure. If it's loud, it's what we all thought. broken studs.

Just let me know. It will be Wednesday before I can get a pic if he wants. I recall that the only thing removed is the rockers, which I still have, and the associated bolts/washers. All that would be needed are to pull your bolts/washers and install in this one. Although these heads where removed only as part of my VG30ET swap, so they are in perfect working order. I would still have the head checked for any warpage and proper spring as well as lifter clearences on this or ANY head you buy.
